Dallas, TX April 9th, 2024 – Excel Fitness, a franchise group of Planet Fitness, today announced its acquisition of 10 Planet Fitness locations in the Dallas region from Legacy Fitness Holdings, owned and operated by Tim Kurtz and Joe Rizzo. This deal brings Excel’s club count to 153.

Excel Fitness opened 14 new locations in 2023 and is targeting 15+ additional openings in 2024 including the newest location coming this Summer to McKinney, TX.
